MBA Admissions
- Team-Based Discussion vs Alumni Interviews
- Purpose to evaluate an applicant’s ability to collaboratively participate on teams
- Discussion involves 6 participants
- 1-2 facilitators (staff or trained 2nd year students) grade performance
- MBA recruitment cycle
- 3 admissions rounds
- Recruiting process is year-round
- Alumni-led recruitment sessions can have a huge impact
- MBA Admissions can provide resources for alumni clubs to host their own info sessions
- Get Involved with MBA Admissions
- Host an info session
- Host a welcome reception
- Connect with an admitted student
- Wharton Admissions Yield (WAY) Program
- Goal: increase likelihood of admitted MBA students accepting offer of admission
- Method: connect every admitted MBA student with an MBA alumnus/a in similar geography

Penn Alumni Interview Program
- Goal to provide a positive impression of Penn
- Interview timeline:
- Early Decision - October - November
- Regular Decision - December - February
- Interview methods:
- In-person
- Virtual
- Eligible interviewers:
- Undergraduate alumni
- Alumni of multi-year graduate programs (2-year MBA)
- What you can do:
- Become an interviewer and encourage your club members to interview
- Build a sense of partnerhsip between the club and the interview committee
